scary good -- scathing takedown of modern society via liberalism and the left but also of capitalism and that's my favorite kind of critic rn. this book was sorta depressing and pessimistic but it made me feel better knowing that i'm not the crazy one here (maybe...) 

hard to read/understand at first but the later chapters get easier or perhaps more interesting and then you can go back and re-read the earlier ones because now you understand what he is arguing.

"we demand too much of life, too little of ourselves"
 
only gave four stars because his argument on feminism was weird and not sure i totally agree but these stars have always been arbitrary anyway!
