The Sea Witch

Katee Robert2020
Once upon a time, I met a man and he stole my heart. In my desperation to reunite with him, I have nowhere to turn but the Sea Witch. Ursa is as beautiful as she is dangerous, and the one person my father warned me never to trust. But she’s all crimson lips and sweet lies that hint at deeper truths beneath the surface, and I’m convinced despite my fear. It’s a simple enough plan, if not for the faint of heart. An auction to sell the one thing I possess of any value—myself. The money will free Alaric and then we can finally be together. Except nothing is simple at all. Ursa is playing at games I can only begin to comprehend. And Alaric? The man I thought I loved might be just as much a villain as the woman I can’t help but be drawn to. When playing in the darkest depths of love and lust, it will be everything I can do not to drown.

I liked the smut, I know this is fiction but that ending was... not as satisfying as I wanted it to be.

Loved the characters but I felt like the plot was a bit lacking at times.

Another exactly-what-you-expect. Glad to see some ladies getting prime time together, but was nothing special. A quick read to keep you warm at night seems to be my whole take on this series.

I found this such an interesting installment, but it was a bit of a let down in some respects. It was pretty crazy at times, and I will admit I really struggled with what Ursa and Alaric do especially in the first half. I was eventually won over when we got to the more emotional building part of the relationship. There is a theme of revenge and it didn't really work for me all that well. It just didn't rub me the right way. So while overall I liked it, it didn't win me over till the end and I felt so badly for Murielle, and while I sometimes like menage relationships, I just didn't feel this one like I did in the previous books. But I did enjoy the "Little Mermaid" connections.

I seriously loved the dynamic Ursa, Alaric and Zurielle had. I wasn’t sure what to expect, what the relationship was like between Alaric and Ursa, but I honestly loved it. There was something about them that intrigued me to no end. When Zuri came into their relationship, it definitely brought explosion to an already fireworks show. Zuri fit so well with them. I love how Katee Robert always includes women with so much power. Ursa was such a force to be reckoned with. Like Zuri said. Ursa May be 5’9”, but she feels taller because of all the power she exudes. Full review to come.

Another hot hot book in the Wicked Villains series! I loved Ursa and Zuri. Alaric was alright I guess, but his story and character didn't really stick in my mind like many of the others.
