The Shark Club
Reviews

I enjoyed this book! It was on my summer list and I'm glad I was able to finish it. It's a light story with some good themes. I enjoyed the strong female characters in it quite a bit.

Fluff

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from The Shark Club. but I enjoyed it even while the background story was heartwrenching. I encourage anyone and everyone to read it.

After being bitten by a shark while having her first kiss, young Maeve becomes enchanted with the elusive creatures and becomes a marine biologist. Taking her across the globe, Maeve's burgeoning career causes tension with her first love (and first kiss) Daniel, ending their engagment after he cheats on her while she is on her first expedition away from home. Years later, Maeve returns to her home town only to find her aunt, the owner of a boutique hotel, has hired Daniel on as the head chef. Maeve soon finds herself falling for Daniel again despite a new relationship with a colleague while also trying to stop a wave of illegal shark-finning. Maeve will find herself falling into old rythems while trying to figure out what she truly wants. An excellent summer beach read, with enough weight to make it more than just a romance. I also LOVE this cover! So eye-catching and summery.
