Always worth a read I do enjoy the Jack Reacher series and as we learn more and more about him and grow more and more attached as his personal story develops, i will continue to like him. However, as with the other two, I've felt there's been a lot of padding out with the story. Unnecessary scenes where it's literally just someone getting undressed or another character excessively self depricating that doesn't advance the story or even their character personality that much. I also found this particular one in the series not to have a lot of action. I think there were two major action scenes in the whole book which is a shame. But I must say the rest of the story kept me intrigued!

This is finally a mystery Jack Reacher would have a reason to investigate. The military and Vietnam War stereotypes in the book bother me. One would think an author would be interested enough in his subject to actually do some research before writing. I also have to wonder if Jack Reacher ever had sex with a woman who had an a@@ that is less than perfect. It seems to be Lee Childs' favorite description. I really wish I had not bought the six book bundle, because I feel obligated to read all six before buying something else.

Written in neanderthal choppy language with Reacher in tip top physical shape. Full of the things you expect in a Jack Reacher novel: guns stolen from drug dealers a block away from the jet set digs; a rogue soldier; a beautiful dame. Well .... maybe dame is not the right word - because Jack Reacher's women are always incredibly beautiful and incredibly bright. Reacher is always one step ahead of everyone and even though the book is not without it's flaws this is a book where your cerebral cortex can just take a chill and you can just read and enjoy and overlook it's shortcomings.
