Obsessed doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about this book. This is my first read by Melanie Harlow and I am hooked. Her writing is absolutely phenomenal and very easy to follow. The entire time I felt like I was a part of the story. Chloe and Oliver have been friends since birth. Because of their respective moms, their families grew up together making Oliver and Chloe forced to be around each other even when they didn’t want to be. Chloe is such a relatable character. She’s independent, funny, smart, feisty, and beautiful. Her humor and out right honesty is what made me really love her. I felt such a strong connection with her. She tells you how it was even if you didn’t want to hear it. Oliver on the other hand is such an ass and an absolute jerk to Chloe multiple times throughout the story as well as being extremely handsome and so charming. There were so many little pieces of him that he would show to her that you could tell were very genuine that really made me love him. I felt like I know exactly how Chloe was feeling throughout the entire book. There parts I loved about him, at times I hated him and there were times I found him annoying but overall I really did enjoy him. These two have undeniable (no pun intended) chemistry and such an intensity for each other you can literally feel it jump off the pages of the book. They are given a second chance at love, or more like a 5th chance but who’s counting? I really enjoy the friends/enemies to lovers trope. You can really tell it’s such a fight for both of them not to not like each other throughout the story, since they go back and forth from past to the present. The story is extremely easy to follow. And overall this was a fantastic read. Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars from me! I can’t wait to read more books by Melanie Harlow ! Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Melanie Harlow for the ARC for an honest review.

"Maybe the dream had always been her."

"jump then fall" (taylor's version) - this song is so chloeoliver!

2.5 ⭐️

5 STARS! ČĤĨĹĎĤŐŐĎ βĔŚŤ ŦŔĨĔŃĎŚ ↬ ĔŃĔМŶ ↬ ĹŐVĔŔ A second chance at being friends again and a second chance to fall in love with each other again. It has always been Oliver to Chloe and it has always been him that she wants, that she loved, the one she trusts to break all the rules for her-with her. Jumping from the roof, touch tongue in the closet and get drunk and spend all weekends to have sex with each other. It has always been about their dare and rules breaking. I have always love Melanie Harlow Books and this is not my first book from her that I love, she has this amazing writing that kinda shoots me to my chest. Her Storyline is beautifully and it's hard to describe the feeling you have when you read her books. Highly Recommended! :)

Not much to really say. It was a cute story. I guess I expected more from it. It was really nice, though.

I really liked this book! I love childhood sweethearts/childhood friend stories and this is a great one. Oliver is so charismatic and lovable, as well as frustratingly clueless at times. Chloe is strong, but vulnerable but kind. Together, they’re kind of a mess but it’s great seeing how all the dips and rises their relationship takes. Normally I’m not a fan of flashbacks, but this is an example of how to do it well. One thing I would’ve liked to have seen was a little bit more. I kind of didn’t want this book to end and I felt like it could’ve and I would’ve kept reading. It’s an easy book to read. So if friends to lovers is your thing, or even if it’s not, if you’re after a good quality romance, give this a go.

this book pissed me off because the mmc is a pathological liar and the fmc kept taking him back every time, like girl stand tf up!!! also the mmc is soooo immature it’s insane i wouldve given it 2.5 stars but the epilogue was cute

This book drove me crazy but WOW I couldn’t put this down for the life of me. It was soooooo addicting and angsty. I dropped it a star because Oliver drove me up the wall. Obviously I was rooting for him and Chloe, it’s childhood frenemies to lovers, second chance romance, but some of those flashbacks had me wanting to throw my kindle at the wall. I kept having to take deep breaths and remember it was from the past and it’s been years but these two go through ALOT to get to their HEA, and when it happens...I was squealing and clutching my pillow. It was super cute and I loved all the parallels. I also loved the family dynamic and small town aspect. That’s something I adored in the first book and I also clearly can’t get enough of Melanie Harlows writing. It’s so easy to read and just fall into her world. I’m excited to read the next one in this series!

This book is about a second chance, and friends to lovers to enemies to lovers. Chloe and Oliver were childhood friends, then they hook up, then they hate each other, and finally, they try to have something romantic again.
The story happens in a few days, it’s fast and easy to read. In some chapter, we travel to the past to understand more about the characters and their relationship. This book is amazing, I mean, you hate Oliver most of the time because, even as a reader, you believe every single word he said. When we all know he is a liar and someone who only thinks about himself.
Chloe was such a badass, she was a business woman and I really enjoyed her personality. She was strong, but even when she didn’t believe the words that Oliver said, she always end up in his arms. I understand her, Oliver was sexy. I love this author’s romance books, they’re perfect, with enough drama and the Happy Ever After that I love so much.

“Are you trying to make me fall for you, Oliver Pemberton?” He grinned. “We don’t fall. We jump.” Chloe’s dream has always been to own a distillery and make her own spirits to serve as an expansion of her family’s business. Her parents convince her to partner up with her lifelong frenemie — Oliver. Past memories start to re-emerge when they agree to spend the weekend together… This is an friends to strangers to enemies to lovers romance. It is sprinkled with spice & is made up of present day & flashbacks. The chemistry & connection between Chloe & Oliver is 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 😍 Very enjoyable, quick read! Loving this standalone series! childhood friends to enemies to lovers excellence. there's no bed sharing, but there's tent sharing, which was *chef's kiss*
