Easy read, enjoyed the story.
Was disappointed with the ending

took a break from the series i was reading whilst on holiday and picked up this book after it being recommended to me! (nicole if u see this - thanks)
i don’t typically read colleen hoover but this book was such a pleasant surprise! i loved the story and the twist - it was disturbing but i couldn’t put it down!

Starting to think something is really wrong with Colleen Hoover. The book was creative but insane. I was literally kept on my toes the whole time. This is the first thriller book I’ve read and it might just have gotten me into thrillers even though I’m still unsettled.

This book left me speechless, one of my favourite reads

It was amazing. The writing was creepy and the plot in general was really interesting. Since it was my first time reading a physcological thriller, I got creeped out by the story and couldn't sleep at night. I gave it a 4.5 starts because even though the plot was good, the romance in the book was really bland and didn't have that spark. I was expecting a really good and creepy book and that is what I got. Colleen Hoover should write more phycological thriller books.

mysterious and beautifully tragic..

Lots of twists which were fun at the end. Kind of a slow burner.

i felt absolutely panicked for at least 70% of this book. i do feel like she fell off a little bit and got too wordy towards the end.... but still a good enough read to finish in almost one sitting

** spoiler alert ** In shock. Ik heb waarschijnlijk mijn boek zovaak tegen men hoofd geslaan. Zo´n fuck-up verhaal. Maar I loved it. Hoe Lowen op het einde niet bang is van Jeremy i don´t know. Misschien omdat ze de autobiografie meer geloofde dan de handgeschreven brief. Still in shock 😲

mmkay.. WHAT THE HELL

This was hell of a ride. I don’t want to spoil anything but definitely worth a read. Definitely different from her other books! It left me confused by the end on what to believe, that’s what makes it even better. What is the truth??

i guess it could have been worse

Not what I expected tbh..

I dont even know where to begin with this one. I bought this book at 9am and finished it by 4pm WITH A JOB INTERVIEW INBETWEEN LOL. I’ve read one other CoHo book and after that one i was unsure if id pick up another book of hers. Safe to say im glad I did. I have never read a book this fast in my life !! From the beginning I was hooked and now that I’ve read it I know I’ll be reading it again. I rarely feel like popular books live up to their hype but this one exceeded it.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for crazy plot twists books that leave you questioning the truth in the end. The first half (or more) sure was pretty slow and took forever to get through.

Omg...... I have no words. I love all of Colleen Hoover's books but this one blew my mind. I finished the book in one sitting. I literally had to just sit and process everything I read for a few minutes after. All I can say is I hope there are more thrillers coming from CoHo in the future.

Listen...have I said that I'd never give a book fewer than five stars? Yes. Did I say I'd just not review a book if I didn't like it? Yes. Here's the thing. Verity is a complicated read. First person present tense has never been a favourite. You lose so much emotion when you don't have the time to spend with the narrator, in her thoughts, in her world and first person is even more limiting because all you get is what the narrator can give us. The narrator, Lowen Ashleigh, aka Lauren Chase, the ghost writer of Verity Crawford's last three books is, well, limited. We don't find out much about her even though she has a shit tonne of complications we should discover more about. She's a sleepwalker whose own mother is terrified of, she's a great writer (good enough that the husband of a super famous writer picks her to be the writer of the last three books) whose books don't sell well. I don't know. I guess I understand why people love it. It's fast and sexy (at times) and the underlying story is a good one. I like the novel inside a novel (wink wink) and I love a villainous female, or is she?

3.9*

** spoiler alert ** This is just bullshit. Characters are shallow the way Lowen talks about Jeremy...cringe plus alot of pages about them having sex so unnecessary to the storyline its like being in a 15 years old boy wet dreams there's no need for it in a "thriller" kind of book also how come all of the writing was "Journaling Exercise" if you had two children die suspiciously at least write a disclaimer that this is NOT REAL before anything but describing their death like that and to portray yourself committing them it doesn't make any sense anyway the only good thing is that i laughed a little while reading it of how hideous it is

3.5

what the F!

I JUST FINISHED THE BOOK ,WTF, I’m literally shaking rn I have no words , the end , the end omg Idk what to think, I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH , I can’t even choose if I’m team manuscript or letter I think I’m more team manuscript , I think the letter was rushed, and Verity knew Lowen was reading the manuscript so she wrote the letter to cover her tracks Y’all need to read this book rn, this book was crazy UPDATE: I just saw Colleen’s video , AND I M SO RELIEVED OMG, team manuscript forever

Huh. I saw the reveals coming, but I'm also kind of confused.

“ I hear the crack of his skull before the spattering of blood reaches me. “
that being the first line of the book is alarming.

I could have chosen anything else to do on this six-hour drive. I could have listened to "Bohemian Rhapsody" over sixty times.
I like that Queen is involved in this book lol

I find that comforting-that being alone with me in the room still feels like being alone to him.

It’s what you do when you’ve experienced the worst of the worst. You seek out people like you…people worse off than you…and you use them to make yourself feel better about the terrible things that have happened to you.

Such an ass. But he's good in bed, like most assholes.
I beg your pardon

I think the idea of me is better than the reality of me. No one is likable from the inside out. Find what you love and let it kill you.

so far amazing
❤️

“The world was her manuscript. Now surface was safe.”

He laughed, moving until his back was against the bar, and stared at me with a tilted head and a crooked smile. "Ive been watching you since the moment I walked through the door. You've had three drinks in forty-five minutes, and if you keep going at that rate, I won't feel comfortable asking you to leave with me. I'd much rather you make that choice while you're sober."
Jjjjj

It happened in an instant. It was like the sun froze and darkened on our lives, and no matter how hard we tried, the rays couldn't reach us after that.
💔😭

Why am I thinking about his sex life as we're walking into Target?
