This book is truly remarkable. What actually surprised me most is the happiness that shines through occasionally. The fact that a 15-year old girl who had such a talent to write and see the positive side of her situation and who was so wise at such a young age, had to die because of a regime that had values that are so fundamentally wrong breaks my heart. Reading this book gives my perspection of Nazi Europe a whole new facette. Because the young jews are not just given a face with this book, but a voice and a strong and wise one so.
