I appreciated that there isn't a lot of dog worship in this book. It's interesting that dogs don't necessarily have the best noses in the animal kingdom. It's that they have the best mix of a great nose and the right demeanor...and the right demeanor for a search dog may not be the right demeanor for a regular house dog.
