Corruption

I had really high hopes for this. It sounded like everything you could want from a dark mafia romance and the first few chapters were so promising, then just fell flat. The plot started out great, the build up was there and then it just disappeared, I was 50% into the book and wondered where the story was going. Some parts were really well written and then other parts felt like it added nothing to the story. Also the relationship between Kostya and Anastasia just felt like something was missing. Overall this book was good but not great. Though it was my first Jenika read so I’d be willing to give some others a go.
