If you are after a new romantic suspense series, this is it. I love the heroines this author writes. And I love her stories. And it is no different here. I have been intrigued by George since book 1. Quiet, taciturn, grumpy men are among my favourite types of heroes. I adored George. And the slow build up of the relationship. Watching as George falls in love. Brilliant. The suspense part of the story here is an story arc from the first book in the series, and as such, I doubt would work as a stand alone. But apart from book 0.5 I have loved the books in this series. Yes, I found the addition of a never before mentioned character, who turns out to be a major dickhead, even though he is the head of the Search And Rescue (and as such, seriously, how was he never mentioned before) a bit perplexing. But overall, it did not detract from my enjoyment of the story. And I adored Lou ( from )great as a secondary character. And there is some sort of progress in the Series arc suspense plot. And it actually really surprised me. And kind of gutted me. But seriously Katie Ruggle!? Why, just why (although it kind of makes creepy sense, I read back all over this characters "appearances") Cannot wait for the next book in the series. But seriously.... I think I will finish with my favourite bit. "So tell me how it happened?" Lou leaned closer to Ellie................ "When I last saw you two together he'd barely agreed to guide you. Next thing I know , he's sitting in The Coffee Spot for hours, scowling at me like I killed his kitten......I was about to ask Callum to see if he could do some man grunt translating for me when George Holloway actually spoke to me. In words..........."what's her number?" ............................. "So I pulled up your number on my phone and gave it to him. He's getting up to leave when I tell him sit his taciturn rump down, because a phone number is pretty much useless when he doesn't have a phone, and he pulls out this prepaid one that's still in its packaging. I start imagining how the conversation will go, where he calls you, and you answer, and he's silent except for some breathing and a few grunts, and you think you have some creeper on the line, hang up on him, and he crushes the phone in his huge, heartbroken hand and never leaves his cabin again"
