Holy. Crap. I ate this book. SO GOOD TO BE BACK

Tbh, I'm a little disappointed after the first book being so good. Because this one was honestly kinda boring. Just 2 small "fight scenes" and every second page smut. I just hoped for more interesting plot and some secrets yk. I actually wanted to read the whole series but now I'm not sure anymore.

4.5 stars Full review to follow soon!

I absolutely loved this book!

I waited so long for this book, I powered through it because it was amazing, and now I need the next one. I literally just got over waiting and now I have to wait again. So good.

“Him pushing me away had nothing to do with Alex or with me. It was because of him, because of how he believed he deserved nothing more than punishment.” Stars: 4/5 Characters: 4/5 Setting: 4/5 Plot: 5/5 Pros: New adult, romance, action, greek gods, Josie not giving up on Seth Cons: It's more about the romance than the plot

”The Titans” trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout strongly impressed me. It made me even more curious about the ancient Greek mythology and its deep stories. I think that you should be extremely original and have various and out of ordinary abilities for succeeding in bringing the Greek mythology, a very special taboo subject, in the 21 century. Jennifer did successfully mix the teenage crazy romance and a new and more modern side of the mythological gods and creatures. I don’t have any objections, so I must congrats her from the top of my soul which fell in love with Seth too, with the lovely descriptions from the books, Seth and Josie’s love and apparently impossible at the first sight love story. I really appreciated that the author showed us Seth’s opinion about the action. My heart was on the floor when they were in pain, when Josie thought about death for the first time because she was thinking that…he would not arrive on time to her…just pain. Alex, at first was a kind of competition for Josie because of the history she and Seth have together but…they will become best friends. Poor Seth will take on him the guilt of what happened to his lover. He thinks about himself that he doesn’t deserve much, but wars and pain. Well, he is so so wrong. Maybe he deserves the world, or better said, his world…Josie. He is even luckier to have her by his side in the battle of destiny that will come very soon. I’ll tell you about a personal event that put the things that I have learned from these books in the light spot. I was in one of my classes and our teacher started asking us if we have any idea about what the sirens and the hydras are. Then…I couldn’t stop myself. I stood from the chair and I started explaining about the sirens and their lovely songs which attract the sailors to drowning, being kept unconscious by the sirens’ beauty, and about the hydras- the ones who were punishing the gods who had hardly mistaken, creatures who were as beautiful and tempting as dangerous and mortal. So I used the information from a science-fiction book series, about which many people could say that would be useful in the real life.

Este libro es una drama Queen que al final ha logrado ponerse interesante

I'm actually completely ashamed of myself and, honestly, I have no real excuse so I won't even pretend. You should know that I am totally kicking myself for waiting this long because holy crap, what a follow up to The Return. I guess the only truly good thing about waiting so long is that The Struggle is available now and I can jump right on into it as soon as I make time. Because it'd been so long since I read The Return, I was a little concerned I would have a tough time jumping back into the Titan world since I was more than likely foggy on the details. Thankfully, that wasn't a problem. The Power picks up right where The Return left off and I had no problem whatsoever getting back into the groove. It wasn't long before the details of the first book came back to me and I realized how high the stakes were as the story continued. This book had a decent dose of angst, but it wasn't overwhelming. I was so solidly Team Seth and Josie that it did make it a little tough to read some scenes, but my affection for both of them only grew. Even when I didn't like it, I understood the characters' motivation and that helped get me through. I'm not going to get deep down into the story on this one because, let's face it, you're either reading this series already or you're planning to and I don't want to ruin anything for you. I love these characters and I love this world. That's saying something, too, because I'm not a big PNR reader. I guess maybe it's just that I've not really found the PNR for me... until now, anyhow. With Jen's trademark humor and heart — and a little bit of down and dirty goodness — The Power was a fantastic follow up to The Return. Josie was strong and amazing. Seth is still swoony and damaged and bit anti-hero-y. Even with the complications, I find these two so easy to root for. I'm anxious about what will happen during The Struggle, but I'm also really excited to see more of the story unfold. Now, I just need to find the time to read it... I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. FAVORITE QUOTES Seth kissed like a man coming out of an extreme drought. He sipped and savored, drawing each kiss out of me. He was a man who thoroughly enjoyed kissing, took the scenic route and was absolutely in no hurry to get to the destination. "You know what's even more messed up? That mindset hasn't changed, Jose. Not after what happened with Ares or what's happening now with the Titans. Bigotry is literally the Twinkie of human emotions. Shit will survive the apocalypse." I'd wanted to give her pleasure. I'd wanted to get in her. I'd wanted what was in her. "How could I be everything to you when you broke my heart?" "There has only been you. There will only be you, Seth."

SETH el amor de mi vida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Originally posted at Booklovers For Life I’m seriously loving the Titan series so hard! Seth and Josie are quickly becoming some of my favorite main characters, and I just love being in the Covenant world. The Power is the second book in the Titan series, picking up where the first left off. It’s another heart-pounding, action-packed book with lots of sexy-times and swoons. If you loved The Return, you’ll want to get your hands on The Power asap! Josie has been training hard with her new powers and building up her strength so she can find the other demigods and defeat the Titans, and Seth is with her every step of the way. But he’s battling his own demons all the while, trying to restrain himself from giving into his addiction and taking her aether. JLA does a fantastic job with the character development with Josie and Seth in The Power. Josie has grown in both physical and inner strength, and I’ve come to admire her character so much. Seth, while still that charming, cocky guy we all love, has matured and taken responsibility for his past actions and is trying to do right. And his growing feelings of love for Josie (because it’s so obvious he’s falling for her and vice versa) matures him in new ways and has him prioritizing her safety and protection above all else. “You . . . you are truly a goddess,” he said, his hands sliding off my hips to my lower back. “Sometimes I’m not entirely convinced you’re real.” GAH, I love Josie and Seth together!!! Their relationship has grown so much since they first met each other, and it still continues to grow throughout The Power. They’ve got a great dynamic between them – one moment they’re sassy as hell and making jokes with one another that crack me up, and the next, they’re being all intense and sensual. And holy hell, Seth is freaking HOT in this book. Wooh, JLA seriously turns up the heat when Seth and Josie move their relationship to the next level. I honestly couldn’t stop grinning at all the sexy-times – thank gods this series is New Adult! “Every day I want you, Josie. I want everything about you. I see you and I want to get between those thighs and spend a lifetime there. I want to get so deep in you that you can’t tell where you end and I begin. I want to taste you and fuck you until I don’t know anything else. Constantly. I want more than that. Not going to lie. I want to hold you.” If you were a fan of the Covenant series, just saying, you’ll want to read this book because two special someones are BACK! I was totally giddy when Alex and Aiden appeared, because I totally love their characters! They’re still exactly the same as they were in the Covenant series, and now they’re back to help out Josie and Seth with finding the demigods. But I have to say, as much as I love the former couple, Seth and Josie are what truly made me enjoy in this book, and I think I might even love the newer couple as much as the older one. I couldn’t put this book down – there’s never a dull moment for Josie, Seth, and the gang. The banter, the action, the surprises, the romance, the steam, all of it combined made for such an entertaining read. The Power is another fantastic addition to a series I’m quickly coming to adore. But now… I’m dying to get my hands on the next book! Thanks to the author for generously providing me an ARC to review. Quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change in the final version.
