This i loved back then, now a fresh reread made me change my mind about it. Even though this time around I'm going all chronologically about it and going to read every title in the series, comics book and watch the film, it wasn't what I read back then and loved. It was ok. Neither awesome as I thought back then, neither a bad comic I'd never read. It was just ok. Some good moments and some bad ones. Art. The artwork was, how can I say this, I used to like Templesmith's art, and let's say it's specific, it's targeted to a certain group of readers who like ART and don't mind caricatures and don't mind smudges and shit, or even quick sketching stick people to depict a scene. Basically what's happening here. So, I do love the coloring but I do have a problem with the art, I'm 100% sure it'd be much more engaging and better with another artist who wouldn't be so specific with his/her style of artwork and wouldn't be all over the place with drawings of stick figures, and filled with scenes and characters in motion that half the time you can't tell what's happening or who's who. Aside the fact that the script would be better with another artist, it could be better as a story too, cuz after all this time rereading it, made me be like meh at the end, even though I love the premise. I hope the next ones are better.

One interesting story, the rest were mediocre at best. Just something to fill out the pages, nothing new or exciting.

Left me bored and unimpressed. The end sucked too. Nothing happens. Just another year of Oh they're coming again, the world thinks we're crazy and liars but vampires exist. Let's prepare to fight them off and kill em all. Vampires have guns too. Oh my. What terribly smart vamps and what a shock. Oh remember the main characters back from the first one? Remember the dramatic death which closed the whole story? Remember how cliche that was? Remember from the previous volume how we brought him back because duh?! Now we got the band back together just for the last page. *Slow clap* I Even grew new hatred for the artwork which pretty much looks like stick figures with dark colors and bright lights.

As a huge fan of the movie, I’m super disappointed with this one. The art style is creepy but mostly strange and muddled. The story has an interesting premise, but was executed poorly with flat characters, and a rushed story line that completely lacked suspense. Pass on this one.
