let me just say that I looooovvvvveeee with my entire heart a friends to lovers to trope and it’s even better when it’s a childhood friends to lovers. This book gave exactly that Felicity and Hutton had such a strong foundation because they’ve been friends for so long that they skipped over the annoying awkward 'getting to know you' phase and I loved that. Hutton is my quiet sweet little baby. With all his "flaws" (at least what he thinks are flaws) and his constant awareness on how difficult being among other people can be. He is so sweet and the sweet side only really comes out with those he is closest with and I should've found that annoying but I didn't. I think both him and Felicity are perfect for each other and honestly there is no other way I would have it. My only issue was with the pacing..I felt like they got together so quickly that it kinda through me for a loop but honestly after they got together I didn't care anymore because they were so cute together.

An extremely cute friends to lovers, fake dating romance! He's so serious, shy, and guarded. And when it comes to Felicity, he drops everything to be there for her. My heart was doing a happy dance when it came to these two.
I do think the story failed at something: it kept being said how Hutton was a controlling man in the bedroom and it was hinted at him being a Dom, but it rarely got shown. So that was disappointing.
But other than that, it was so cute!

Just Make Believe to Let’s Make It Real Sweet with some heat! Who can resist friends to lovers with a fake relationship. Not meeee! Melanie Harlow books are definitely feel good reads and this book is no exception!

The way I did not see Hutton French coming. Like, holy shit. Thank you Melanie Harlow for this gem of a man lmao. Let me back up a bit to say how much I appreciated reading a character like Hutton. A man with anxiety who gets nervous in big crowds, can't do public speaking, and hates talking on the phone? Super refreshing - I loved how genuine and raw his character was. He was so relatable and I felt seen reading his chapters. Not to mention, I liked that Hutton wasn't your typical cocky/confident billionaire. He was nerdy, a bit of a recluse, and I loved him. Oh and how could I forget... He's also a soft dom??? Pls. We love it. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that we really only got one chapter of him showing that kinky side of him, but you know what? That chapter was excellent and I'll take it lmao. I loved their fake (totally real) engagement. Not only because Hutton was so good to her - constantly spoiling her and doing absolutely anything for her, but also how Felicity was just so good for him. She brought him calm and peace that he didn't even know he could have. I think what made it all work so well was that they had such a solid and almost unique friendship. Their little coded language was my favorite and it made me so happy every time they used it hehe. They were just so freaking adorable together. I'm glad they eventually got their shit together, as frustrating as it was to watch them find their way lol. This was the 3rd that I've read from this series and has by far been my favorite. Lots of blushing, giggling, and small tears. Easy 5 stars from me. This is a reminder to myself to read more Melanie Harlow!! She don't miss.

I adore Melanie Harlow's books and this was one of my favorites. Friends to lovers has a special place in my heart, and I loved both of the characters. They were quirky and original. I love the dynamics between the sisters and I can't wait for the last one.

Loved Hutton and felicity. I wish their was a bit more spice but the spice in there was good! Decent plot and as someone with anxiety I found myself relating to both characters
