This book goes deep. Strieber is a powerful writer who has had powerful experiences. He has drawn no conclusions about what has happened to him, but he has drawn deep ways of thinking about these things. This is why teaming up with comparative religion teacher, Jeffrey Kripal, makes this such an important work. If you have had unusual encounters, or are fascinated by them, and reject the scientific denial of those encounters, and also reject the fundamentalism of 'true believers' in the weird and strange, then this book is for you. Exceptional and profound.
