Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie was born in 1993 in Bandar Lampung and studied Law at university in Bandung, West Java. In 2014 and 2016, she won the Jakarta Arts Council Novel Contest. Her work was included in the long list of Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa Literary Award in 2015, and received the Literature Award for Novel Category by Language Development and Fostering Agency of Indonesia in 2018. She was awarded the 2017 Rolling Stone Editor Choice Awards after her work was included in the magazine's 5 Best Works in 2016. Because of her concerns for children, Ziggy was involved in the development of the elementary to high school curriculum in 2016, Indonesian Creative Youth Academy in 2016 and 2017, and School Literacy Festival in 2019. She participated in the project of writing an introduction to Indonesian literature for junior high school students in 2017 and was invited to Save the Children's visit program in West Java in the same year. In 2018, she joined the group, Ruang Perempuan dan Tulisan (Women and Writing Room) to research Indonesian women writers in the past. She was invited to join an artist-in-residence program by Metal Culture Southend and the National Book Committee of Indonesia in 2019, and also served as a committee member of the 2019-2020 Jakarta International Literary Festival.
