Glaciers
Reviews

I enjoyed reading this short and sweet novella, but then I prefer fiction about "real life" when there is no grisly murder/unexpected stranger/whatever that so many novels seem to require in order to progress the plot. Glaciers is about a day in the life of Isabel (filled in with reminiscing to provide some back story). About walks about town, about the guy she likes, about happiness and disappointment. Some people may not like this style of prose because nothing (big) happens, but I find it much more relatable.

A lovely rainy afternoon read. Portland, libraries, books, thrift shops, found postcards, interesting boys in plaid shirts.....seriously, what is not to love here. Short and sweet.

A Miranda July-ish novel, a bit short but interesting. Love the style, detached but evocative. Despite the cover and the summary, IT IS NOT chick lit.
