Actual Rating: 3.5 almost a 4. Despite not much actually happening in this book (for the first 200 pages at least) the last 100 were just *chefs kiss*. These books have become almost a guilty pleasure series, they're just super easy to read, you don't have to think much, they're just solid. I like the main storylines going on right now and the way they're going! I know this was more of a filler book than the other ones but some things happened at the end that in just like yep this was good. I only have the next book to read right now, I'm gonna have to work on buying the last few, I'm definitely reading to the end

Zoey Redbird's soul has been shattered now that Heath was killed by Kalona right in front of her eyes. She is now stuck in the underworld with Heath and her friends are extremely distraught. Stark, Aphrodite, and the rest of the clan devise a plan to get Zoey back. Stark is going travel to the underworld to bring Zoey home and convince Heath to move on so that in turn, Zoey can, too. Meanwhile, Stevie Rae has a dangerous secret relationship brewing with Rephaim, the Raven Mocker, who is also Kalona's son.

Like with almost all the other books in the series I had a hard time to start the book but when I got to the middle of it, I couldn't stop. There is just something in these books that makes it hard for me to start. In the end I'm still happy that I read it, it was pretty amazingly good. I liked how Stark and Zoe's relationship developed and how they became even closer. Also I can't wait to know what happens to Heath because he is one of my favorite characters. I also like Rephraim and Stevie Rae's relationship so it's nice to see where that goes in the end. In the end the house of night series is getting more serious and I like it. It gives me something to look forward to. And it is not anymore just some teen novel, it really has a true story and I can't wait to see what happens. So I'm looking forward to the next part!

This installment of the series started of good, I love the dynamic of the multiple povs but around the middle it moved to slow for me. But the end, the last about 50 pages were just stunning and I feel like the next books could actually satisfy me.

I’m not really good with reviews but I genuinely liked this book. It showed different point of views and kept me interested the whole time. I couldn’t give it a full 5 stars because it was little frustrating having to read one of the characters “Scottish” accents.

Similar to the last book this one takes POV from the other characters we have gotten to know throughout the series. We continue story lines that had not quite wrapped up in book 6 and start right where those left off We learn that things are not as they seem on the outside. That Light and Darkness are very much at war and seemingly almost tangible things. We still get points of view of Zoey, but I think this book focuses more on her friends around her. Those that care deeply for her in one way or another. As they all play a part in her returning to herself. There to help save her.

Not my favorite out if the series. But definitely in line with the drama of it all 😁😁😁

Whoa! I'll admit, it took me forever to really finish this book because I didn't have much time on my hands this past couple weeks, but I just finished it today and I was in love with it the entire time. I give this book a 5/5 stars, defiantly. I'm excited to get to the next book,Awakened.
