Sons of Anarchy

Sons of Anarchy

The first collection of the hit Sons of Anarchy comics based on the FX televisions series. Gun-smuggling outlaw bikers with complex pasts and gripping personalities. If you love “guys with guns” like we do, this is that genre at its most elevated. The BOOM! Studios' comic book ties into the FX crime drama about the Charming, CA Sons Of Anarchy motorcycle club. Written by novelist and frequent Hellboy collaborator Christopher Golden, the series tells a stand alone tale of a former member's return to the fold looking for help. The only people standing between Kendra and certain death are the Sons of Anarchy, and, for better or for worse, their most violent member, Sergeant-at-Arms Tig Trager, who lost his daughter at the end of season five.

”You think I’m a monster. I get it, kid. But I’m the closest thing to a white knight a girl like you can hope for...” My annual SOA phase kicked in a couple of weeks ago. I still don’t have enough courage to watch season 6 so in order to not slack completely, I decided that it was the perfect time to read the graphic novels. I loved volume.1! The artwork was fantastic. Nothing was out of place. The characters were themselves. Everything made perfect sense! It focuses on Tig and his side storyline. How he copes with the tremendous loss and pain (or more like, how he doesn’t really). Even though it’s absence didn’t bother me that much, I still would’ve liked if this storyline was explored a bit more deeply on the show but vol.1 did a great job at conveying Tig’s feelings and vulnerability.
