I think that overall, I did have a good time. However, I do believe that there was missing some things in the narrative to convince me of the romance bit and also for a moment I thought they were trying to sell me a childhood friends- enemies- to lovers but like there's missing so much background and like I fear that sometimes the author even forgot that Gavin and Riley were twins.

Still, it was interesting to see Riley being part of the team and the ambition she had in being the best. Also, I loved to see that she also had art as a company because it seemed there was no time for her to make friends outside the football team? I feel like she is so alone, like she only has Zeke, Gavin, and some teammates, and that's it that's her world, like really no classmate to bond with, to maybe find a confidant? It was a bit disappointed in that aspect, especially when the only time we saw characters outside the football bubble was the parents and two girls who were  being mean.

Zeke was a refreshing character, too. Throughout the book, he was the biggest yearner and the biggest heart of gold. I would have liked to see a proper conclusion of the situation with his parents, though, and his learning disability.

Despite my first complaint, this whole situation of being teammates also adds the romance a new set of conflicts and scenarios that were really well exploited by the author. It was refreshing that the conflict of the last part not relied on miscommunication but more understanding.

I can not believe that I was again deprived of an epilogue of another romance couple, I really need a cute closure and glimpse of their future, even if it is just a couple of months 😭 . 

I would admit, though, that it made me curious for the next couple, but still disappointed.

i kept hoping the plot would pick up but it never did. i wasn’t invested in this back in august so i dropped it. however, i picked it back up on 5/9, bc i read the rest of the series and i really wanted to like this but it just fell very flat to me, kinda like when i was reading the quarterback sneak. it just wasn’t giving. the third act conflict are you kidding me??? so unnecessary and dramatic. it’s like all their development to get to a good spot in their relationship just went out the window. i did like riley’s character a lot, she was badass.

Zeke messed up, yes but its your brother who it really affected can forgive him- you need to at least accept that. Riley was careless with her words and yes I know she said them to get a jab at him but c'mon. Zeke was being so vulnerable with you and you're just going to throw it back in his face.

Honestly the book was good. But the conflict! It was sooo overdramatized and how she basically threw everything he was feeling bad about in his face was just awful. The conflict was literally unnecessary and stupid.

SO SO SO GOOD. I don’t know why I waited so long to read this series, but if the first book was any indication on how the others will be, IM SOLD. Awesome feel good read, love the love story in this with the sports aspect to it. Absolutely obsessed. Can’t wait to read the rest!

Really good concept. My main complaint is that there was too much football in it. I know that’s a dumb complaint, but most sports romances don’t have this much focus on the sport.

Solo tengo buenas cosas que decir de este libro, como lo disfruté.

Cuando leí Blind Side, me llamó mucho la atención de la pareja de Zake y Riley, se miraban tan lindos que en serio quería su libro, así que me puse a stalkear a la autora y ¡oh, sorpresa! resulta que efectivamente tenían libro e iba antes de Blind Side *tick nervioso de ojo*.

Comencé Fair Catch con mucha ilusión porque si iba a ser la mitad de bueno de lo que fue Blind Side, lo iba a disfrutar mucho. Y no me decepcionó.

Me pasa que con esta autora me sumerjo totalmente en la lectura y verdaderamente amo eso. 

Todo acerca de la historia de Zake y Riley me pareció bueno.

El hecho de que Riley luchara con uñas y dientes para que la respetaran, para hacerse un lugar en el equipo me parece wow. Que Zake siempre estuviera para respaldarla y hacer ver su suerte al que se metiera con ella.

El hecho de que ambos se amaron desde siempre a pesar de todo. Como poco a poco su relación fue migrando de odio al amor. TODO AMÉ.

Zeke and Riley’s story gives us a delicious read. I loved it.

Riley is a female football player. After a tragic accident she promises her brother she will take his place on the football team. She has a lot of issues to overcome - being the only female on the football team. But she also has to play with her enemy - Zeke. 

Ugh. Zeke. I absolutely love him. He's working through some trauma and while he has amazing self-esteem on the football field, he lacks it in other areas. 

The chemistry these two have from the beginning is amazing. You can clearly tell they liked each other before "the incident". 

Forgiveness is a big theme in this book. And I loved the journey. The conflict between the characters was really well done. I loved every page, I didn't want to stop reading. Kandi Steiner always has me hooked, but ugh! This was just perfect.
