All the Dangerous Things
Reviews

The author is so descriptive I felt every emotion of the main character.
Layered storylines matching up making me gasp at the end when It all Came together! Really enjoyed It.

Good but kind of boring too

Woah this booked HOOKED me! Loved loved loved this book from start to finish. The way the author is able to have you guessing until the last minute is amazing.

This was too slow for me. I liked the last 10% or so but other than that, i was bored.

Like Stacy Willingham’s debut novel, A Flicker in the Dark, All the Dangerous Things had me invested from the very first sentence. The author has a way with words, a way to make you feel like you’re inside the story, as if you are one of the characters. There were jaw dropping moments, shocking gasps and teary eyed as I read this novel. Willingham is definitely becoming one of my favorite mystery authors. This book is one everyone should read.

Great book. The suspense kept you on edge and all of the plot twists made it worth reading! I didn’t expect the ending at all.

⭐️1.5-2 This may have been the slowest paced 'thriller' I've ever read. Until the last 100 or so pages, the book was incredibly slow. Towards the end of the book, the book briefly became more intriguing, although I use the word lightly. There were a couple of fine twists, which is the only reason I gave this book a 1.5/2 star rating, but they weren't terribly mind-blowing. All in all, I found the book to be largely boring and lacking any oomph or appeal. As for Isabelle, I wasn't particularly fond of her. The book is written from her perspective. The plot consists of her mistrusting everyone, not sleeping, moaning, whining, searching for her baby without any logic or tact, and refusing to face her insecurities throughout the book. Due to her being very unlikeable, reading her POV was quite draining. Overall, a very unmemorable thriller book that does not stand out among other thriller books.

Really good, unpredictable, quick-read, thriller. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, i would realize I was completely wrong. My only complaint is that it felt like the ending was rushed. The book ended without tying up all the loose ends and I still have questions

THE TWIST!!!

Another brilliant read, this book was brilliant and I loved every second. There wjerw twists I did not see coming and the ending was a complete shock .
This is a easy, faced paced with that keeps you compleltly hooked and guessing. I enjoying jumping back into the past and enjoyed the present day story aswell.
Overall brilliantly written and the story was paced really well

I am not going to lie, this was a difficult read and not because the writing wasn’t good. Maybe because it was too good. Or maybe it was because the nature of the story is every mother’s worst nightmare come to life.
I couldn’t help but imagine the horror that Isabelle must have felt. The loss of self. The feeling that if she didn’t keep her son’s case alive, that people would forget. Hell they were already forgetting.
As the book dives deeper into Isabelle’s past, you feel as though you are starting to get a grasp on what happened on the night Mason was stolen from his crib.
But with every turn or the page, ripe with tension, some small twist would reveal itself and everything you thought you had figured out, wasn’t it at all.
This book did not disappoint and I look forward to reading more from this author.

A mother has her son stolen from her home in the middle of the night and won’t rest until she finds closure.
That’s the plot. The deeper story explores grief, mental health, and postpartum issues. Beautifully written novel about the guilt women carry.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review! Officially proclaiming Stacy Willingham the queen of plot twists. Boy oh boy did I not see ANY of that coming. This book follows Isabelle, a sleep deprived mother who is trying to figure out what happened to her son who disappeared one year ago. The story bounces between the past, where we see glimpses of Isabelle's childhood and her struggles with a sleep disorder, and the present, where she teams up with a true crime podcaster to get answers about her son's disappearance. There was not a single second spent reading this book where I knew where the story was going. My one qualm is that the beginning of the book was very slow and hard to get into because it was so hard to see the point of it all. BUT once I hit around the 50% mark I was absolutely hooked. I finally felt like I figured everything out around 75% in, yet finished the book with my jaw on the floor because I simply had no clue. I love the way this author writes her twists and neatly ties up all the loose ends. Even a very minor plot point (which I honestly forgot about) was nicely wrapped up in a few sentences near the end. If you're looking for a wild and twisty triller, look no further than this book.

WOW. I LOVED this story. It was so addictive. I couldn't put it down!
I read this in two sittings. The writing is fluid. The story utterly compelling from the start. Short and fast-paced chapters with alternating timelines of then and now keep you on the edge of your seat. It has this super cozy yet eerily creepy feel to it that really hooked me. The best kind of cozy mystery thriller for me! Plot twists GALORE. Egnimatic characters. Chilling encounters that keep you guessing. But nothing that's too graphic and you aren't left with that icky feeling either. There are some hard topics surrounding motherhood that were done well, but just to be aware of. They are pretty intricate to the plotline. Check out the thoughtful author's note at the end.
And just holy insane plot twists of which I didn’t guess one. Stacy does a fantastic job of diverting your attention away so you don’t see them coming until they’re right on top of you! So good.
Thank you to Minotaur Books for the advanced copy! I can't wait to read more of Stacy's work.

This one had me hooked but I will admit throughout the story I kept thinking that it was just a basic cliche thriller and very similar to her other book (untrustworthy main character) but honestly that twist at the end GOT ME

Enjoyable mystery. Nothing that is intense or suspenseful but a well thought out plot with a well written twist.
