Delilah Green Doesn't Care Bright Falls #1
Reviews

This book is everything my queer little heart needed. I love that the story isn’t just about two people, but all of the characters in the friend group. It had all the ingredients to be such an amazing book.

It was a sweet story, a bit predictable but it was nice and cozy

This Book and the subsequent series on my shelf for a few years and I finally decided that it was time to check this series out and after a few thrillers and fantasy book my Mood reading took my back to a romance series, and this felt like the perfect read where the weather is turning, and the nights are drawing in.
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care follows Delilah Green, a photographer in the making as she reluctantly returns to her hometown for her stepsister, Astrid’s wedding. While she plans to not go down the memory lane and keep everyone at arm’s length, but as she finds herself attracted to Claire Sutherland, a girl in Astrid’s “coven” of childhood friends, her life at Bright Falls takes a turn.
The chemistry between Delilah and Claire is instant, but both have issues from their past that make it hard for what they must be anything but casual. This is the type of book where once you start it you don’t want to put it down and you just want to devour it in several sittings. It’s a refreshing queer romance that is not you’re coming out story that has been done several times by different authors in the past and it felt like a true romance book that was honest.
There were a few plot holes within the book, and I felt that the dual POV a little confusing especially when it wasn’t the clearest as to work out which POV we were in at the time. But I can say that despite this I’m very excited about book 2 which is just waiting on my TBR pile to pick up next.

( I listened to the audiobook of this so I will also be talking about to narrator's performance) before reading Deliah Green I had only read one of Ashley's middle-grade books I gave it 5 stars and it made my little queer heart happy but I was craving something more I was craving romance but because said book is a middle-grade book I knew I wasn't going to get that so when I heard about Delilah Green I knew I'd love it and would have to pick it up. this book exceeded my exceptions by a mile I loved this book so much that as soon as I finished it I wanted to pick it up and read it again and I instantly bought Astrid Parker and Pre-ordered Iris Kelly in audio and physical books. the romance the spice everything was just ahhhh this is by far one of my favorite sapphic romances I've ever read. Kristen DiMercurio is the perfect narrator she captures the character's personalities and emotions perfectly and somehow makes the book so much more atmospheric than it already was on its own

the plot was entertaining and the characters were cute, romance was just a little fast for me and the plot was a bit predictable but I like the characters enough to make up for it. my favorite parts were the familial interactions with delilah and astrid and also with claire and josh coparenting. overall, really liked it and will be reading the next ones! happy pride!

This book, what can I say?
Delilah is amazing, and messy and so god damn relatable. Claire is smart and understanding and so damn calm.
These characters are so good, all of them.
What you can expect:
- Sapphic romance
- a book store
- a child from a previous relationship
- a "coven" of friends
- a co-parenting relationship that is put to the test
- steamy scenes
Overall this book is amazing and I cannot wait to continue this series.

** spoiler alert ** It's crazy but my favorite part is when Delilah overheard Isabel call her Astrid's sister.

My first sapphic romance!
It was a really good read. Fun, cute, spicy. All the good things you would want in a romance novel.
Just a little too fast at times and third-person narration but that’s okay.

3.5

I am so disappointed. I really REALLY wanted to love this book. The characters feel very one-dimensional and like they have no personality besides the romance that is trying to happen. I had to put in a lot of work to want to get through this and it just didn't work for me (so much so that I didn't even like the smut). Overall, this is very predictable and I honestly don't know if I have any interest in reading the other ones anymore. I was so excited and so let down.

This was fine. Very boring in the middle but ending was cute

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ 4.5 rounded up Delilah Green Doesn't Care swept me off my feet with its enchanting tale of love, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships. At the heart of the story, the characters Delilah and Claire shine as a beacon of authenticity and charm, making this a stellar queer romance that easily earns its 4.5-star rating. All relationships within the book are beautifully portrayed, filled with nuance, depth, and genuine emotion. The author skillfully navigates the intricacies of queer romance, creating a narrative that feels both relatable and heartwarming. The characters' diverse personalities and their journey together make for a compelling and memorable reading experience. However, it's worth noting that the repeated use of the term "other woman" became a noticeable linguistic hiccup throughout the story. While it may have been employed to convey a specific dynamic, its frequent recurrence felt somewhat excessive and, at times, took away from the otherwise well-crafted narrative. It's a minor drawback in an otherwise exceptional story, but one that I couldn't help but notice. In conclusion, "Delilah Green Doesn't Care" is a must-read for fans of queer romance, featuring compelling characters and a narrative that tugs at the heartstrings. This book is a testament to the beauty of diverse love stories, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to those seeking a captivating and emotionally resonant read.

RTC

maybe delilah green doesn’t care, but I DO.

This book was definitely like it was advertised. It's fun and steamy and romantic all at once, and even had me tearing up in some parts.

Cute

Okay Delilah we get it your edgy wah wah.

yay for sapphic romcoms more sapphic romcoms

Wow!

I'm really enjoying reading what I fancy, and I've found that the random books I pick up from my physical books shelf when I'm meant to be working tend to be winners for me. This one was a winner but I admit I did wish I liked it a little more. Claire and Delilah's romance was good and I was intrigued but I cared more about Delilah finding her people, friends and those she views as family, more than I cared about her falling in love so I guess I could say I wasn't blown away by their romance.
I did speed through it in a couple of days so I definitely liked this one and I cannot wait to read Astrid's book to see if that comes out as a stronger romance for me.
