Warner drops his head. His voice is so low I can hardly hear it. “How can I hate his anger,” he says, “when I know so well where it comes from?”

“Juliette, love,” he says to me, still holding my eyes. “You have just started a war.”

I stare into his eyes for what feels like forever. 

He leans into my ear. Lowers his voice. “Ignite, my love. Ignite.”

“Everything looks so different to me now,” he says. “It feels different. It tastes different. You brought me back to life.” He’s quiet a moment. “I have never known this kind of peace. Never known this kind of comfort. And sometimes I am afraid,” he says, dropping his eyes, “that my love will terrify you.”

Everyone is staring at me. “What do you think?” I ask. 

“Your suit looks just like mine.” Kenji frowns. “I’m supposed to be the one with the black suit. Why can’t you have a pink suit? Or a yellow suit—” 

“Because we’re not the freaking Power Rangers,” Winston says, rolling his eyes. 

“What the hell is a Power Ranger?” Kenji shoots back.

“No,” he says, backing away. “No, you don’t know what you’re saying—” 

“I love you,” I tell him again. “I love you and I want you and I wanted you then,” I say to him, “I wanted you so much and I still want you, I want you right now—” 

Stop everything for the moment he crosses the room and pulls me into his arms and pins me against the wall and I’m spinning and standing and not even breathing but I’m alive so alive so very very alive 

“Kenji, I love you, I really do, but right now I’m so anxious, and I feel so sick, that the more you speak, the more I want to kill you.”

“Why do you call her ‘love’?” James asks. “I’ve heard you say that before, too. A lot. Are you in love with her? I think Adam’s in love with her. Kenji’s not in love with her, though. I already asked him.” 

“What?” James blushes. “No. She’s like a million years older than me.”

I found it interesting but it took me a while to read…found it a bit long winded and dragged on

I liked that this book was more about Aaron because let’s not lie he is carrying this series (him and Kenji)

Adam is still a miserable poor excuse for a love interest and I really can’t stand him 

I feel like apart from Juliette finally admitting her feelings for Aaron there was no real plot and for Anderson to be killed within 1 chapter seemed really YA because how can you have this huge build up over multiple books for him then to be killed in a couple of sentences?? Seemed too easy for a fight scene

I really liked how we got a closer look on Aaron and also how his relationship escalated with Juliette. I have a terrible feeling about Adam though I really hope I’m wrong. I had a feeling that he’d betray them and join his father. Also the scenes in the ship were my favorite really empowering! It was amazing how Juliette was free of all that caged her and she could become a person of her own. Learned to harness her power. For me it meant a lot to see how all the things that made her feel trapped and hated for were actually the key to her freedom. One thing I didn’t like is how she took the initiative to be the new leader. I feel like it was very unlike her and very sudden. I didn’t feel like it was justified. Can’t wait to see what the next books are like!

i don't get the hype cause literally nothing happened unless aaron and juliette being a couple.

I'M SHAKING OMG, I LOVED THIS. I love Juliette, she is such a powerful woman. I love Warner, I can't even explain how this man makes me feel. I love kenji, he has something that reminds me of myself, he is the kind of person you always want to surround yourself with and he will always be there to support you, he is everything. I loved the growth that juliette had and we finally get to see the extent of her powers. 

I really loved this book, 5 stars for this one

1 star is not enough i feel the need to go into the negatives

i never wanted to stop reading, i loved that this book focused more on the relationship dynamic between everyone but mostly juliette and warner but it was just truly satisfying but the ending felt really rushed like i would’ve loved it for it to be a little more realistic but overall it was good though

4.75 ⭐️. I can definitely see why this was everyone’s favorite book in the series. Juliette, Aaron, and Kenji (the loml) are undeniably an adorable trio and I’d love to see where they’re friendship goes. This was so overwhelmingly warnette and it got me squealing at 2 in the morning 🙄 I love them so much <3 I’ve gotten used to this writing style !! There’s so much more to unpack because I felt that the ending was so anti-climactic, but Juliette’s character development was neatly written. 🤍

** spoiler alert **
           3.75 ⭐️ mainly because the ending felt a bit rushed and underwhelming, but also:

- juliette ruling, please no. she’s so unstable and naive.

- warner turning out to be super perfect?? i don’t mind at all but seemed very unrealistic

- adam’s total character change was a bit too much, too obvious that it lead the way for juliette and warner to get together but even though i wasn’t a big fan of him i felt bad for the adam from the first two books.

This book picked up on the slightly overbearing storylines the previous book left it with and did what it could. It was a good book and a nice conclusion to the series. That being said, I am looking forward to the continuation and will definitely read it.
