I really like E. Lockhart's writing style and therefor really enjoyed the book. The story however didn't impress me too much.

I picked up this book solely based on the author. I enjoyed both We Were Liars and 
  Genuine Fraud
, and when I stumbled upon this unknown older publication I was curious. I was overall disappointed, however. 

While the book carries much of the same atmosphere as the other books mentioned - a young female protagonist with a lot of secrets and manipulative behaviours - the overall story was really dull. 

Not much happened and I am still questioning what the point of the book was.
