Poor Zelda. When is it ever going to be HER time. With her mother leaving her and her fathers gambling addiction, she's pretty much raised herself. She is a job she hates, just because it means she has enough to look after her father. Not that he's notice, he's far too caught up in his pity party. When her dad starts missing his meds to pay for his gambling addiction, Zelda has about had enough. She returns to the town she associates with everything she hates. But her cousins refuse to allow her to wallow or hide from them any longer. She is coming to the family BBQ, even if they come and drag her to it. But whilst there she catches the eye of Beast's friend, Stone. She isn't scared cos he's a shifter, more because her ex was a shifter and didn't tell her, the one thing she can't stomach after her childhood. Stone is besotted and has to find someway of getting his mate to accept him. But his plan goes pear-shaped when an omission, more than a lie lands him in hot water wth Zelda. Zelda is not an easy nut to crack. She gives Stone a hard time, unnecassarily at times, but she is also hard on herself. She refuses to see what a good man Stone can be if she can just get past some of her own issues. Great little read and I love the Primrose family!
