had a deja vu when i read a poem i had read in life of the party

This is a mature poetry book. No cliches here. Raunchy and unforgiving of it. I underlined so many lines. Her writing is very inspiring. The way she describes things, can either be beautiful or ugly (because she is so truthful with the ugliness of the world); which motivates me to write. I liked most of the poems. A few I didn’t connect with. My favorite poem and most relatable poem is Bubblegum or Bruise. Most loved line from that poem: “blush so pink but only in private, blush so pink like lesson learned”. Enjoyed the maturity of these poems.

I actually liked this better than Life of the Party, which I wasn’t sure would be possible. There were a couple of pieces that appear in both, so I would not recommend reading these in quick succession to each other, but having read her full length when it came out, it was nice to read the reprints again.

not my favorite, there were some poems I liked but a lot I was very meh about
