Bossman

Vi Keeland2016
From New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalone novel. The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date. When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date. I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked. When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out. But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood. My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting. When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again. I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again... What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

I hate books with real people on them, especially half naked people. That aside this book was just fine, nothing amazing nothing remarkable bad yk?

This book gave me major The Hating Game and Colleen Hoover vibes, so obviously I loved it. Also, the cover model is so freaking gorgeous, I literally can't deal with it.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Bossman is a delicious tale of an Alpha Male CEO, a feisty marketing specialist and some hot sexy tension in the office that will curl your toes.  Bossman is a story that has been recommended to me by many, especially by those that don't read romance too often, so I just knew that this book I needed to grab up. I was delighted to find that it was a part of Audible's Romance Package. So I grabbed it up and had a blast while I "listened while I worked" . I will say that I want to talk about the narration first. I really struggled with the narration at times. At first, the female narrator, took a while to grow on me. Now eventually I did like her voice, but it took time. I would have loved to see more POV from our hero. We do get to see some flashbacks of his past, but I would have loved to get more depth from his character because HE ROCKED MY WORLD!! One unique aspect I have discovered from Vi Keeland, is that on the surface it seems like a fun and sexy romance, but there is so much emotional intimacy that is blew me away at first because I never expect it from this author.  I really adore the chemistry between these two. We have our hero, who knows how good looking he is and is cocky but highly fun to read. Our heroine doesn't want to complicate her job with a relationship but it happens anyway. The dynamics in their relationship proves to be wonderful and captivating. I was so drawn into this book here, the romance was delightful and I believe I was smiling all the way. They had me laughing and their quirks end up working so well for each other. I do want what I don’t have. That’s part of it. But not in the way you think. Don’t ask me to explain it, but when I’m around you, I’m happy. That’s all I’m after Overall this proved to be one of the most sexiest office romances you could ever pick up!! Gratifying, Sensual and Endearing!!

Link to blog: http://laceysloveofliterature.blogspo... This book was amazing! It was simply beautiful. I loved everything about it. Reese was having the date from hell. The guy was dull, boring and talked about his mother a wee bit too much. Drastic times call for drastic measures: i.e. the emergency best-friend pretend call. In the hallway to the toilets in the restaurant, Reese is leaving her friend a message to phone with a fake emergency so she can skedaddle. Chase over-hears and calls her out for the rudeness of it. With no fake emergency, Reese has to return to her boring date. But dullness doesn't last for long; Chase Parker joins them at the table fabricating stories about growing up with Reese. When the night ends Reese is disappointed. She wanted to know more about the enigmatic Chase Parker. What she doesn't expect is to be working for him a month later. I simply loved this book! It was amazing. I loved Chase's propensity's of telling dramatic stories, which were so outrageous other's just believed in them. I adore Chase. What he went through was difficult. I loved how he realised he hadn't moved on from what happened all them years ago, although he thought he had, until he met Reese and was ready for more than just casual sex. He wanted everything. Reese suffered a traumatic experience as a child with her brother ending up deaf due to the incident. Reese blames herself, and due to this she has a slight paranoia about security within her building. She desperately needs to feel safe. I loved how Chase came in and took over her nightly checks. I loved how he finally made her feel safe. These two people were broken by their past and blame themselves for what went wrong. It was just simply beautiful to see two blameless and broken people coming together to make each other whole. I loved the banter, jokes, teasing between these two. I simply loved everything about them as a couple. That epilogue was amazing! It simply took my breathe away at the thoughtfulness of it all. Of the story he was telling before he made it come true. All in all, this book was amazing. It had just the right balance of humour and drama/angst. It's a must-read!

No, it’s fine Vi keeland i didn’t need my heart anyways!!!! Wow❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This book went from sexy and fun, to heartbreaking, to hopeful and beautiful. Chase Parker is probably an all time hero for me. He’s a beautiful man trapped by some horrible demons and a part of my heart will always be his (sigh) I loved that this novel wasn’t just all sex appeal, it was pure pain and pure love at its finest. Defintely will recommend to all my romance loving friends But seriously can Chase GET ANY HOTER?!?!

***5+ Stars*** I was feeling myself falling into another dreaded book slump, so I decided to read some of the samples I had on my Kindle. From the moment I started reading the sample of Bossman, I immediately went to Amazon and bought the full copy of it. I am one of those readers where if I don't connect with the characters, I lose interest. That was so not the case when it came to Reese and Chase. I could feel every emotion these two went through. They both came from a past where something tragic had happened to both of them. Two lost souls who found each other. I loved everything about this book. The characters, the plot, and the feels. I have read other books by Vi Keeland and I have to say that this is her best book yet.

[5/5] Decided I am rating higher because of Chase. I just love him so much, he’s cute, sexy, intelligent & what can I say he breathes and I am on my knees. Ready to give him whatever he wants tbh. Anyway, the book is cute, funny & I enjoyed a lot. The smut was also great. I definitely recommend.
