Descender, Volume 2: Machine Moon by Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen continues with the plot of the two Tims. Tim-21 at the assurance of Tim-22 is whisked away to a robot built / robot run society. His rescuers, Telsa and Dr. Quon, manage to get taken to, though it's clearly not a safe nor welcoming spot for them. CCCCCC - siblings uhoria maze http://pussreboots.com/blog/2020/comm...

Great characters, excellent story/writing, lots of mystery, killer world building, and wonderful art! And all this makes for an excellent comic that is worth collecting and rereading again and again. Tim-21 is a sympathetic character akin to David from the film Artificial Intelligence. This a smart and gorgeous space opera series and one of my favorite comics of all time.

4 stars | Illustrations are stunning ๐ watercolour is my favourite medium

We see more of the galaxy and meet some new characters. The political plots thicken. The balance between plot and character development is good. The art continues to be stunning. I am excited to continue to the next volume. This is definitely a machine/AI vs. biological species conflict. The main characters are caught in the middle and trying to survive. There are some evil individuals, but on the whole there is no one good faction. Most of the characters are morally grey.

The art in this series is absolutely GORGEOUS. But I'm struggling with the pacing and the overwhelming amount of dialogue tags in each image. The story is great; sweet and engaging and I'm looking forward to continuing on, I'm just hoping that the plot quickens and we maybe get the dialogue spaced a bit more.

Great continuation of world building and getting to know one of our main characters origins and history. Reminds me of the movie A.I
