The Poems of Francois Villon
This early work by Henry De Vere Stacpoole was originally published in 1926 and we are now republishing it with a brand new introductory biography. 'The Poems of Francois Villon' is a collection of poetry that includes 'Ballade of Vanished Lords', 'The Lament of La Belle Heaulmiere', 'Ballade and Prayer', and many more. Henry De Vere Stacpoole was born on April 9th 1863 in Kingstown, Ireland. After finishing his education, Stacpoole travelled widely, taking up a job as a ship's doctor. His time spent at sea undoubtedly inspired many stories and characters in his later writing. Stacpoole's writing career started with the publication of The Intended in 1894, but his most famous work is The Blue Lagoon, a romance novel published in 1908."
