Dead Lands
Reviews

Dead Lands is the third book in the "Savage Lands" series and the intensity of the first two books only increase in its dramatics and politics. I really had a fun time with this one here, and man it can get super gritty. So I wouldn't recommend these books if you get triggered easily. But if you enjoy something a bit darker, then you definitely should pick these books up. In Dead Lands, our heroine meets her Uncle, and we also get some other characters like Killian and Caden that she stumbles into. And yeah there is so much more in the political realm that really works for them here. We get to see Tad again and also Kek that we saw from the first book and I was hoping our heroine would meet them again. The romantic relationship with Wolf has gotten more intense as its becoming apparent that there is more to their connection than meets the eye, and bring on the SMEXY TIMES. haha The steam in this book is more than the first two books combined. Lots of angry sex, which I don't see too often even in dark romance I don't. So it was quite interesting, (personally not my favorite thing personally, but considering how angsty their relationship can be not shocking). I will be honest in that I am having a blast with these books and I can't seem to put them down. I definitely need a break though, so probably won't pick the rest until later this week or next week. But I am really enjoy these books so much. But who knows if I can wait that long haha Overall I adored Dead Lands and the plot building that is developed. Very curious to see what will be happened in the rest of the series!

4/5 Rating.

Finally get some of the romance I've been missing but the build up was amazingly frustrating. New players in the game and a cliffhanger that blows your mind.

Am I glad I borrowed these books from the library instead of buying them? Yes. The first book was interesting, plot was fun, and tension was great.. it all went down hill from there. The plot of the second and third book are identical. The amount of times the fmc has "felt acid come up her throat" or mentioned vomit is unparalleled. Just an absolutely overused reaction to *everything*. There are so many characters in scenes and they aren't tracked well, which makes it pretty confusing at times. This makes it read very new author to fanfiction-y. Overall I think I might be done here. The cliffhanger was whatever and that kind of spice I can read elsewhere without suffering through another motorcycle chase, kidnapping, and "acid crawling up" throats.

I read this in one day (with the previous two books being finished two days prior) despite having a 9-5 job. The author does a phenomenal job of world building. Details that seemed unimportant at the time come back when you least expect it and I loved the fast paced nature of the book, it keeps you engaged and there is never a slow section

4.3/5

This series started off SO Strong. I absolutely adore the characters and Brexley is amazing BUT I really struggled with this book. It started to become quite repetitive in book #2 but this one it became too much. I’m so disappointed because I don’t know if I can read the next one 😩

This is my favorite of the series so far. An evolving mystery, found family, and enough violence to make any normal person consider any potential kinks they had lingering in the back of their heads. This book was the least predictable, but at the same time there were moments where the lead got buried. This book is big time spicy, 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 finally. I about died of sexual tension.

The cliffhanger...

5⭐️ “I was his dark demon. A thief. A fighter. An executioner. His savior.” Excuse me for a moment….HOLY SHIT….WHERE IS THE NEXT BOOK?! I NEED IT NOW!!!! Now that’s out the way, this book definitely delivered. It was face-paced and action-packed, full of steam, I literally couldn’t get enough. There are so many questions answered, but it leaves you asking so so many more. I am completely in love with Brexley and Warwick, I can’t even put it into words. And the troupe they are gathering is so diverse, a group of characters you can’t help but love. I need Stacey Marie Brown to publish the next book, i honesty don’t know how long I’m going to be able to wait for it with spontaneously combusting with anticipation!!! If you’ve not read this series yet, you don’t know what you are missing. Get it read. ⚠️ Trigger Warning - Violence ⚠️ Plot - 5/5 Character Development - 5/5 Pacing - 5/5 Escapism Factor - 5/5 Emotional Connection - 5/5 Smut -🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
