This was one of the most confusing books in the series. I actually had to restart listening to the audio book because I was so lost, and even then the different viewpoints had too many characters to keep straight. Honestly, by the end of the book I thought the bad guys were the same person, and forgot the plot line of the second entirely. It was too interwoven to make sense for me. Not to mention I wasn't entirely thrilled by the plot. It is probably because the 60s/70s were before I was born, but everything seemed biased against hippies and trying to make them be the worst parents possible. It just seems like a weird focus for a mystery book about the cold case of a missing girl.
