“An autobiography is only to be trusted when it reveals something disgraceful,” George Orwell. This memoir will still grace my bookshelves when I'm old and grey, unable to see clearly and bedridden. There will always be a place for Christopher Hitchens in my home. I think the quote which is embellished on the front cover says it perfectly "... from a man who stood several times at the gate of history and was never satisfied with what he saw."
